Bonnyville RCMP News Release:
On the
evening of May 6, 2013, Bonnyville RCMP responded to a complaint at a
residence located on the Kehewin Cree Nation in relation to an alleged
assault.
Officers located the suspect, Suede Brandon BATOCHE,
age 19 years, hiding in the basement of this residence. BATOCHE
physically assaulted one officer, then turned and pointed a firearm at
officers. BATOCHE subsequently fled the residence with a firearm. He
then set several fires in the grass around the property and as a result,
the residence was lost to the fire.
The RCMP are advising the
public that BATOCHE is still at large and is considered armed and
dangerous. It is believed he is still in possession of at least one
firearm, possibly more.
The RCMP are requesting the public's
assistance. If anyone has any information regarding BATOCHE's
whereabouts, please contact Bonnyville RCMP at 780-343-7264, or Crime
Stoppers at 1-800-TIPS(8477). Do not approach him.
